[Nzhistory-teachers] Wanting advice for 3.5 Situation Essay (NZ topic)

Hi there

I am teaching Level 3 History for the first time. We are focusing on C19th 
NZ.

My Year 13 students are having real trouble getting their heads around the 
3.5 Situation essay. They find the 3.4 Decision one very straightforward 
but when it comes to the Situation essay they find it confusing applying 
information to the achievement standard requirements.

I wondered if anyone out there has any advice, tips, handy hints . . . to 
help make this more straightforward for my students.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
