Welcome to the NZHistory.net.nz newsletter, 24 February 2006

REDESIGN

Regular visitors will see a few changes about the place as we have
recently had a major re-vamping of NZHistory.net.nz. This is still a
work in progress, but we hope to have the remaining content (mainly
images and other media) moved into the new site by early March 2006.

Apart from getting all the content into a more standard format with a
clearer site architecture, there are some substantial new additions you
might want to explore:

THE CALENDAR

http://www.nzhistory.net.nz/calendar
A month by month break down of events in New Zealand history with links
provided for further information. So far we have events for each day
from December to March and a few select events for each other month. The
aim is to eventually to have an event for each day of the year.

Each day's event will appear on the site's homepage and the week's
events will appear in The Classroom. The Classroom is an area of the
site for History and Social Studies teachers, but much of the content
will be of interest to a general audience.
